Why do powdered drinks, such as instant iced tea...?

...waft up into the air like some kind of toxic witch's brew? Especially when one opens the can?

PaulWhy do powdered drinks, such as instant iced tea...?
Yep. As everyone said, small particles. It has to be this way so the powder will dissolve. The finer the particles, the easier it will dissolve. Why do powdered drinks, such as instant iced tea...?
The small particles are so light that a little bit of wind (from opening the lid) kicks them up... .
once the product is dried into concentrate, the odor is concentrated too!
cause its powder and its gets caught in the air
only because it is a very fine powder.

I have some teas from Turkey (all in a coloured powder form and quite sweet) anyone know if these are any use?

hey..

the teas you have, i think i can help you about how to use them but i am not sure about what kind of tea u have.. are they fruit teas?? and the powders are in a jar? if it is what i understood, u can make your tea as adding that powder to boiled water..like for a cup, a small spoon powder or so... and than u can add sugar if u want;)

hope that helps.. if doesnt may u can add a photo of the tea u have, so i can try to help better;)

  • Too much powdered (instant) iced tea?

is drinking instant iced tea like nearly everyday bad?Too much powdered (instant) iced tea?
yes, especially during the summer, take a break once in a while, add other things to drink like juice/water/even home-brewed herbal tea.Too much powdered (instant) iced tea?
    YES! too much sugar
I think it has corn syrup and other junk in it as well. You might want to stick with just water. It is healthier for your body.

My girlfriend drinks ice tea too. I try to drink at least five cups of water a day
Not unless you load it with sugar. There is nothing harmful in tea or coffee. Down side is that over time it can stain your teeth.

Is water still ';healthy'; to drink if you add powdered mixes (tea, juices...)in it?

i dislike drinking water and i had heard in the past that it is ok to drink water with powdered mixes in them. teas, juices, etc...am i still getting enought daily water intake if i am drinking it with the mixes? Is water still ';healthy'; to drink if you add powdered mixes (tea, juices...)in it?
To my mind, once ';water'; has something mixed in with it, it is no longer ';water'; but something else!

However..... if you must add things to it to get it down, to keep it as ';like water'; as possible, avoid anything that contains: sugars, caffeine, colours, sweeteners, additives, salts etc etc.

One thing you could add fairly safely would be a little dash of lemon juice or lime juice. Some of the herbal teas are are quite palatable (peppermint, chamomile %26amp; ginger are some of my favourites), but remember, you can't add sugar! Is water still ';healthy'; to drink if you add powdered mixes (tea, juices...)in it?
    yea. but drink sugar free

Can you use confectioners/powdered sugar for drinks such as tea, coffee, shakes, etc.?

Will the corn starch thicken the drink? My fiance and I are cooking from recipes now (which saves money, sometimes tastes better, and is fun), but I don't want to get someone sick from switching the recipe around a bit. Thank you.Can you use confectioners/powdered sugar for drinks such as tea, coffee, shakes, etc.?
I really wouldn't suggest using powdered sugar as a substitute in a beverage. If you are looking for another sugar substitute, try different types of extracts such as almond or vanilla, honey, fruit..etc.Can you use confectioners/powdered sugar for drinks such as tea, coffee, shakes, etc.?
I assume you want to use that because its powder and it will dissolve better than regular sugar? The best thing to do is put equal parts of sugar and water in a saucepan and bring to a simmer and turn off heat. You have just made simple syrup. Put it in a jar or better yet a squeeze bottle and keep it in the refrigerator for up to 3 months or if you use it fast you can store it at room temperature for about a week. You can use this syrup for any drinks you make and there will be no undissolved sugar. You can also experiment with different flavors by adding some lemon or lime rind into the syrup, its great for iced tea. Enjoy.
I wouldn't advise you to do so. It would be a lot better to just stick to natural sugar. Sugar in the Raw is GREAT!

Are those instant soluble tea pellet/powders as good as the real thing?

well the obvious answer is probably not, but at least do they retain much of the nutritional value of green/white tea (polyphenols) compared to steeping dried leaves?

In case you don't know what I'm talking about, it's those packets that have pellets that you can dissolve instantly in cool waterAre those instant soluble tea pellet/powders as good as the real thing?
Those instant things are never as good as the real thing.

Can you use powdered sugar in sweet tea?

I was just wondering because we don't have any sugar but we have powdered sugar! I don't know....no rude answers please!!!Can you use powdered sugar in sweet tea?
It's definitely not ideal. As someone else mentioned, most powdered sugar has starch added to it to make flow more freely, so it's best used for solid goods, such as in baking.

You'd be better off using another alternative sweetener. Do you have any honey around? Can you use powdered sugar in sweet tea?
I've been in that same pinch and have done it before but it needs dissolved when the tea is still hot. It will make it sickening sweet compared to regular sugar so you may want to use a small amount.
Powdered sugar has starch in it so...no. That would be gross.

How do they make the powdered soft drink mixes? ie lemonade, crystal lite, iced tea mixes?

Well, they probably buy all the ingredients in powder form. The flavors and colors could be liquids that they mix in with the dry ingredients. They've done the product development to determine what ingredients to use and in what proportions. They probably mix the ingredients in a big blender. I'm sure the amount of each ingredient going in is automated. Then they package it %26amp; ship it.

The ingredients in my pink-lemonade flavored store brand knock-off of Crystal Lite are:

citric acid, maltodextrin, potassium citrate, natural lemon flavors, aspartame, acesulfame potassium, calcium silicate, magnesium oxide, gum arabic, artificial color, red 40 lake, and red 40.

  • Confectioners (powdered) sugar in tea?

I'm running out of regular sugar, and I need some tea to study (caffeine)

would confectioners sugar taste weird?Confectioners (powdered) sugar in tea?
it tastes a very tiny bit different, and you will probably get a bit of powdery stuff that won't dissolve in the tea.

but no problem, nothing dangerous.Confectioners (powdered) sugar in tea?
It is just regular sucrose (table sugar) that is milled to a very fine particle size, but it has something added to keep it from clumping up, usually an edible starch, like corn starch.

It should taste ok, but it may change the texture of your tea -- slightly thicken it.

    Just drink the tea plain!!
It tastes really sweet but it's ok in a pinch.
It won't be terrible, no. Do you have any jam? Jam tastes delicious in tea. As does honey.
it will be fine just dont use as much as reg sugar also try honey

Stevia powder in my cup of tea?

I recently bought a packet of Stevia powder online to try as a sweetner. When the packet came it was a a sort of green powder. So I added a small amount to my usual tea with milk and stirred. After doing this there were lot's of green flecks in my tea floating on the top and when I tasted it it wasn't very nice at all infact it tasted a lot like regular artificial sweetners which I hate. I am quite dissapointed as I was really hoping to wean myself off sugar and thought this might help but it seems nothing really tastes like sugar but sugar.

Have you any advice? Did I get the wrong kind or am I using it wrong?

Thanks!Stevia powder in my cup of tea?

I agree the powder is horrible. The liquid form of stevia tastes great in liquid. Sweet leaf brand.

    Have a sweet day!

I know .....I am addicted to sugar....it's tough.Stevia powder in my cup of tea?
It is good to get away from processed sugar. If sugar were introduced to the US today, the FDA wouldn't approve it.

But stevia and other 'sugar-substitutes' are basically cancer powder. They are just as bad.

Try honey or unprocessed sugar (cane) for your tea.

Another great healthy and tasty sweet stuff is cocoa (unprocessed chocolate) and crushed berries. These are some of the best anti-oxidents ever.

I am also a fan of Gary Null. I sometimes use some of his powders to sweeten and fortify my meals.
I get a sweetner called ';Sweet stuff';. It does have Stevia in it but it really tastes like sugar. I bought it in the organic section. I use it regularly and have no complaints.

Also it was a white powder, not green.

I would also like to mention it is not cancer powder like another post says. I asked my general doctor and OB/GYN and you would need to consume packets upon packets one after another for you to ever form cancer. It was given to lab rats at a staggering amount and that is why cancer formed. regular use is perfectly safe. Stevia was appoved by the FDA for a dietary aide as well.

  • In powdered tea and coffee.. which is the solute and which is the solvent?

the powder is the solute and the water added is the solvent. In powdered tea and coffee.. which is the solute and which is the solvent?
carbonated soda, water is the solvent and all sorts of awful chemical guk +CO2 is the solute. In powdered tea and coffee.. which is the solute and which is the solvent?
the solute is the carbinated soda the solvent is the sugar and creamer
powder is solute; the liquid is the solvent. this is easy to remember because water is called the 'universal solvent'.
In teas and coffee, the solvent would be water and the solutes would be the coffee and the powdered tea. These dissolve into the water, thus making a solution.

As for carbonated soda, CO2 gas (carbon dioxide) is dissolved into water, thus making carbonated water. This provides the fizz when drinking soda. And after time, the CO2 gas leaves the soda, thus creating a flat cola.
The solute dissolves in the solvent.

my mom been givin me tea from 9 months of age in a sippy cup an that was over 28 years nowAt what age can children start drinking tea? Not talking powdered iced tea, but freshly brewed tea....?
    Whenever they want.
I can't see the harm ...especially if its decaf and unsweetened. I would just worry about staining their teeth and stick to lighter brands. Obviously I wouldn't give it to a baby and like any drink, the only worry is them drinking it instead of milk or eating.
I would say about three years old is the right time to give them tea.
I don't know about appropriate age, but my kids have been drinking tea since they were 2. They love green tea and regular lipton tea. Nothing bad has ever happened to them because of it.
I was given tea in my bottle as a baby. [ Irish roots] Still here 50yrs later.
Well, in Puerto Rico many moms give their babes tea at around one years old. They do so the night before changing from formula to regular milk. It is supposed to ease their stomachs (the babies) for the change. There are many children (two and up) that regularly drink tea and/or coffee. Hope this helps.
    Any age.
about a year or so. I used to get chamomile tea for upset stomachs when I was little, and I used to get regular tea with a bit of milk and sugar.

Now, I have one cup of coffee every morning, and that's fine. Just as long as you are not going crazy with the caffeine- a small amount won't hurt. Chocolate does have caffeine, but for the sake of the sugar mostly I'd stay away from it.

But if that's what you're doing, I'm sure you'll be fine. Just try sticking to herbal teas (watch what's in them,) and decaf coffee and soda.
it is okay to have a little caffeine when you are pregnant. you can actually have one, small caffeinated beverage a day and it would be just fine. doctors usually advise women in who are in the first trimester to stay away from caffiene, because it has been known to cause miscarriage in the first trimester, because thats the most critical developing phase for the baby. but, you would be fine, even if you had just one small caffeinated beverage a day. its good that you are trying to be careful though. there is a small amount of caffeine in chocolate also. good luck!!

oh BTW what is baby powder made of?
Certainly not. Brandy is best taken from the bottle. To re-process brandy into powder form loses its taste and effectiveness as a tonic drink, as a cooking ingredient and as medicine.
    HK is right.

Alchohol would vaporize before it can be powdered. So having a powdered alchohol, be it brandy, whisky, beer etc would be hard to do.

The next best thing would be to have your alchohol in soft GEL form. Like vitamin E, where the liquid alchohol in high content and proof can be placed.

Or if you want something sweet, get those brandy chocolates instead. Liquor candies or chocolates in nice bottles of chocolate.

Or have a rum cake, and use stronger alchohol.

it could give you diarrhea, but at least it will give you the ';high'; momentarily while in the toilet.;P
    i heard of jelly brandy

    but not of powdered brandy

oh BTW what is baby powder made of?

Cheers. Though I am a teetotaler.... zero tolerance.

tea also has a calming effect. It has caffeine, but it's effects from caffeine are more of an alert high than a surge of energy you get from pepsi caffeine.

Can you mix creatine powder with hot tea?

or will there be like a chemical reaction that'l hurt meCan you mix creatine powder with hot tea?
A creatine serving is often preferred in a hot drink (for example tea / coffee) so it dissolves more easily, with a teaspoon of sugar and consume some fruit or fruit juice at the same time. Another idea is to drink your creatine in a hot full sugar cordial drink, like blackcurrant. However do not mix creatine into boiling fluids as creatine is destroyed at very high temperatures, let your drink cool to drinkable temperature before adding the powder.

Is it true that a combination cinnamon powder, green tea and pure honey makes a perfect formula for diabetes ?

A friend of mine gave me this formula: boil 3 cups of water, put one tablespoon of cinnamon powder and two bags of green tea; allow to cool down. Take 1/4 glass of it 3 times a day and voila, you will have long, vigorous life plus good control of your blood sugar. How true is this?Is it true that a combination cinnamon powder, green tea and pure honey makes a perfect formula for diabetes ?
    How true does it sound?

Diabeties is a condition that your body either produces no insulin (type 1 %26amp; HAS to have an outside source of insulin) or insulin resistance or too little insulin (type 2 - can need outside insulin source, medication, and always needs strict control of diet and exercize.

Green tea is thought to help, but if it does so it is most likely because people tend to drink it after a meal, which aids in digestion. Honey is pure sugar, and will only spike your BG levels.

There is no genie in a bottle. The process - and it is a process - is understanding your condition, frequent monitoring of blood glocose levels, careful diet, exercise, care of your skin %26amp; feet, an A1c test every 3 months, a yearly physical and regular heart screenings, keeping your bad cholesterol down, your blood pressure good, and more.

Go see an endocrinologist and keep up to date on medical information.

Falling back on word of mouth, old outdated ideas and generall folk remedies is not a good idea for diabetes. I know alot of the stuff actually works - like willow bark tea made from the inner bark will help mild pain, because it is a natural source of aspirin, but that is a simple remedy to a simple situation. Diabetes will kill you if you do not handle it correctly. Is it true that a combination cinnamon powder, green tea and pure honey makes a perfect formula for diabetes ?
may be but in diabetic one should not trust any formula
    No.
To make sure that it really works don't forget to swing the cat by his tail during a full moon three times. This ';formula'; won't hurt you, neither will it cure anything.
The perfect formula for diabetes is:

    1. Low simple-carb and sugar diet (including to avoid honey, the answers to the other question tell you why)

    2. Compliance to the glucose-lowering medication and indications of the doctor.

    3. Exercise.
Honey is almost pure carbohydrate and would likely undo any benefit from the green tea and cinnamon. There is not convincing evidence that green tea regulates blood sugar at all.

Cinnamon can be useful, but it is far safer to use a water extract and not boil down your own. Some cinnamon powder contains coumarin and may be toxic, so this is not safe to brew at home.

Anyone with diabetes needs to consult with their physician before trying any alternative or herbal treatments. Failure to do this could even be fatal.

This formula is not any miracle and could in fact be harmful. The extravagant claims of curing diabetes and guaranteeing long healthy life should set off all your warning bells. How true is this? Not at all and not a wise think to ingest, period.
Honey is never an appropriate food for a diabetic.

There is excellent evidence about cinnamon helping with Bg control.
If it did, people wouldn't be struggling with diabetes.

  • Green tea matcha powder???

what is it? if u know how do u make it?!?!?!?!Green tea matcha powder???
Matcha powder is basically green tea leaves that are ground up to a very fine powder. The tea made from matcha powder is a very green, almost milky substance with a typical green tea flavor. It is the kind of tea that is used during the famous Japanese tea ceremony.

Many have tried to grind their own matcha, but the simplest solution is just to buy it as a powder.

Green tea bags can probably be used for making a frap, but loose leaf tea is always better tasting.Green tea matcha powder???

Water + Tea powder stuffssss.... ?

Okay.. If you take like, some powder that makes tea.. Ya kno? nd then mix it into the water... Does the tea you drink account for your daily water needed or whatever?...

I don't exactly know how to state my questions.. Sorry guys. lol.

B/c.. If you drink like, 10 cups of tea.. You should be good to go.. But my mom says no.. lol.. Soo... ?!?!?Water + Tea powder stuffssss.... ?
well, like any powdered drinks, the integrity of-in this case- the benefits of the tea are drowned out by all the sugar. if you want tea's benefits, drink loose leaf tea.Water + Tea powder stuffssss.... ?
Instant tea and or instant coffee does have water. It is considered a caffeine layered drink.... such as sodas and other similar products. They have a label for it an I cannot think of the name it starts with a ';d'; These drinks are not absorbed into the system the same as water. So best to get your water intake. Try using a little extract flavoring to enhance the water intake level. I have problems drinking that suggested level. Water bottles on hand always seem to help an a secret.... I am generic I refill mine with cooled room temp. boiled water and chill them in the fridge. If you do allot of exercise room temp. water is better health wise then cold water. Cold water can cause stress on your body, not enough water an you can have body cramps. Water also helps digestion an bowel movements.
Yes, it counts so does the water from other drinks like Juice and Milk and even food. It all adds up.
i know tea is a good source of anti oxidant. no carbohydrates, fats, or protein.

What is th difference between mattcha and Sencha powdered green tea?

I read recently about how healthy Mattcha is, but it is very costly. I bought 30g for $25CND,Sencha was 50g for $8. Anyways what is the difference between the two and what can they be used for? What is th difference between mattcha and Sencha powdered green tea?
The difference is what grade of leaf that you use to create the tea. Bancha uses the largest leaves and so has a less-refined flavor. Sencha is crafted from the smaller leaves, which have a more refined taste. Gyokuro is sencha grown in the shade and thus the most subtle in flavor (reflected in the prices it commands). Matcha is powdered gyokuro whisked into water. It is what is used in the Japanese tea ceremony. What is th difference between mattcha and Sencha powdered green tea?
Matcha is made of tea leaves grown in the shade, and laid out flat to dry (if the leaves are rolled as usual, the result would be gyokuro). These dried leaves are called tencha, and become matcha only when ground. Other powdered teas do not qualify as matcha, but as konacha.

    Matcha green tea powder.....?

I just got a great deal on a bag of really good quality Matcha powder...I'm moving to Arizona in less than a month and I need a way to get it there without it spoiling (if that's possible). I know it's supposed to stay refridgerated, but if I shipped it would it be okay? I can't pack it with me on the airlines cuz they probably won't allow green powder through security lol. Soo any tips on what I should do??Matcha green tea powder.....?
Matcha is just green tea ground into powder, albeit a high quality tea. Keeping it refrigerated extends the shelf life and slows oxidation, but it is shipped all the time without refrigeration and it doesn't ';spoil.'; The main thing is to keep out air and light. So pack it up tight and ship in the quickest way you can justify so it has the least time exposed to the heat. It will be fine.

What background should I use for powdered tea??

I am a photographers assistant and a client hired us to do photos of their powdered green tea. Its goign to be displayed in mounds on a white plate. what type of background would look good with it? I don't want a standard white background. I think something with a little mor einterest like what you see in magazines. What do you think? What background should I use for powdered tea??
Yes I agree. What background should I use for powdered tea??
The complementary color of green is red; however, red might be too bold and will 'steal the show', so perhaps something more like burgundy, but in a lighter saturation (faded) to provide good contrast. Check your color wheel to find the exact complement. A background of red bamboo might be nice. You might not need the lighter saturation due to your white plate however, unless the mound of powdered tea rises above the plate (where you lose the white background which is providing the contrast.) You can get past this problem if you isolate the subject from your background (use a larger aperture and a backlight on your background.)

For exposure, be sure to use an incidental light meter too (or spot meter on the plate then add 2 or 3 stops.)
Are you going for a solid background or more of the tea in some type of ';element';?

You could get some of the tea plants for the background, or items that describe the company or their motto or their business philosophy.

The solid color suggestions listed previously are good as well, if you decide to go that route.

Or heck...shoot them both ways and let the client decide which one they like. If you are lucky, they'll like both and buy both!

  • Is powder green tea you mix with water just as good for you as regular green tea you make from tea bags? ?

It should be. It is just tea that has been dhydrated and ground into a powder. It may have lost some nutrients during the process but not too many. Also make sure to check what they might have added to it too. Artificial swweeteners or too many additives to get it to last longer won't be too good. Remember the tea in tea bags is just tea, nothing else. So anything they add to the powder mix is extra and may or may not be beneficial to us.Is powder green tea you mix with water just as good for you as regular green tea you make from tea bags? ?
Read the label and compare the ingredients. Some powders may be just as good, others may be lacking or have artificial sweeteners in them (which are terrible for you). It all depends on the maker. Is powder green tea you mix with water just as good for you as regular green tea you make from tea bags? ?
The fresh leaves and steeping it is better than that. Powder/tea bags still are good, but not as good as the real thing.

tazo. try adding a little hot h20 to the matcha and mixing it before adding in the milk. What kind of powdered green tea does Starbucks use for their lattes? Matcha? What brand?
They use Tazo, but any powdered Matcha is basically the same...

It may be the way you are preparing it...what drink are you making? The Green Tea Latte? We had Melon syrup and hot water to it to disolve the powder before adding milk...anytime anyone asks for it without water it's really clumpy.
Starbucks uses Tazo Matcha Green Tea powder. I have found it available in 1kg packages at http://matcha-greentea.com/starbucks-matcha-frappuccino/. It is a low grade matcha but works very well for frappuccinos and lattes.

  • How long does Matcha (powdered green tea) stay fresh for?

I brought some back from Japan. It came in a little tin, in a sealed bag. I opened the bag and put it in the tin. How long should it be good for? Its been about 3-4 weeks and I haven't finished much of it. I don't want to waste it, so I'll still drink it even if its not its freshest, but still tastes good. Any help? How long does Matcha (powdered green tea) stay fresh for?
On the internet, I've seen a variety of comments. One said it can only last 30 days. Another indicated it could last for a year. I'd go with the average and keep it in the fridge:

I want to know the seven tea flavour powder names and how much grams must be added to 1 kg teapacket?

There are four basic types of true tea: black tea, oolong tea, green tea, and white tea. The term ';herbal tea'; usually refers to infusions of fruit or of herbs (such as rosehip, chamomile, or jiaogulan) that contain no C. sinensis.[1] (Alternative terms for herbal tea that avoid the word ';tea'; are tisane and herbal infusion.) This article is concerned exclusively with preparations and uses of the tea plant C. sinensis.

Tea is a natural source of the amino acid theanine, methylxanthines such as caffeine and theobromine,[2] and polyphenolic antioxidant catechins[3]. It has almost no carbohydrates, fat, or protein. Bubble tea: powder or syrup?

I'm wondering what's more popular? The powdered flavor bubble tea or the syrup? ThanksBubble tea: powder or syrup?
that's more of a question for slushes/snow bubbles. i prefer the syrup.Bubble tea: powder or syrup?
Bubble tea is just a mixture of boiled and swelled tapioca and tea. The powdered flavor you are thinking might be the powdered tea and the flavor you have on powdered tea is lemon.

If you want to make bubble tea, buy a package of tapioca. Boil about 2 liters of water then add tapioca and stir well. Let it boil again and take the tapioca and boiling water of the heat. Let stand for 5 minutes and put the tapioca in a colander and run cool water on it.

The tapioca will swell like those you buy from bubble tea stand in 3-4 days continually changing the water.

After 3 or 4 days, boil enough water again and put the tapioca in the boiling water. Stir well while waiting the water to boil again and take off the heat.

The second boiling of water is to stabilize and cooks the tapioca thoroughly and run again with cool running water and it鈥檚 ready to eat. You can mix it with cool-aid, juice or any flavor you want or tea. Store in the fridge with enough water as the tapioca will only stop swelling when it is crystal clear in the inside of the tapioca.

Green tea tastes great but I am not sure about adding it to milk powder. Is green tea good to taste and cud it be added to milk powder?
Why are you interested in adding milk powder? Assuming you want to do that to make it creamier, then yes you could. Many tea houses use a ';mix'; which is basically powdered milk or dairy substitute in their milk teas because adding it to the tea doesn't dilute it further.

One trick I do is make a small amount of hot water and let my tea brew in it to make a concentrated tea. Then I add milk till it's just right.

Tea powder gives red color in hot water, but some local tea powders gives red color in cool water why?

In mixes, the tea is routinely a minor component, with sugar the standard primary ingredient, plus flavorings, coloring agents, anti-caking agents, and so on. The consumer defines the product as tea.

The dyes they use.Tea powder gives red color in hot water, but some local tea powders gives red color in cool water why?
The ones that give color in cool water have probably been brewed already, then dehydrated, so that any water will rehydrate it and it will become tea again.

Cakeyness? Turning brown? Smells?So... about matcha (green tea powder)?
If it is over a few years old, I wouldn't take the chance. It's in a dry powder form so it's probably still good, and it will be in a cake so it will be under heat. It's probably good, but do you really want to risk it.

  • What background should I use for powdered tea??

Which is the better form or cinamon for use as a tea...cinnamon sticks or cinnamon powder?

cinnamon sticks are better, powder tends to clump together.Which is the better form or cinamon for use as a tea...cinnamon sticks or cinnamon powder?
Definitely sticks! They have a more natural taste.Which is the better form or cinamon for use as a tea...cinnamon sticks or cinnamon powder?
Sticks. Once you process any food stuff, especially delicate spices and herbs, the flavour is compromised
sticks are better, pure natural form
Cinnamon sticks will give a full flavor to use in tea, chai, and flavoring any hot drinks. The reason people do not use powder of cinnamon in a warm liquid to drink is that it produces a mucilage of cinnamon at the bottom of the cup/glass (slimy glob). If you don't mind this texture, then use powdered.

Here are some interesting ';cures'; using cinnamon I found:

    6) HONEY %26amp; CINNAMON

It is found that mixture of Honey and Cinnamon cures most of the diseases. Honey is produced in most of the countries of the world.

Today's science says that even though honey is sweet, if taken in the right dosage as a medicine, it does not harm diabetic patients also. A famous magazine named Weekly World News published in Canada dated 17 January, 95 has given a list of diseases that can be cured by Honey and Cinnamon as researched by western scientists.

Or arthritis patients may daily, morning and night take one cup of hot water with two spoons of honey and one small teaspoon of cinnamon powder. If drunk regularly even chronic arthritis can be cured. Women who cannot conceive may take a pinch of cinnamon powder in half teaspoon of honey and apply it on the gums frequently throughout the day, so that it slowly mixes with the saliva and enters the body. A couple in Maryland, America had no children for 14 years and had left hope of having a child of their own. When told about this process husband and wife started taking honey and cinnamon as stated above, the wife conceived after a few months and had twins at full term.

Regular use of the above process relieves loss of breath and strengthens the heartbeat. In America and Canada, various nursing homes have treated patients successfully and have found that due to the increasing age the arteries and veins, which lose their flexibility and get clogged, are revitalized.

    10. IMMUNE SYSTEM:

different.. its abbreviated for a herb.. don't worry its completely healthy
It is called gun powder because it is freeze dried... and when it is in the process, the tea leaf retracts on itself and compacts itself in the shape of small grains...

It is green tea by itself.

Do not use it in excess. Too much of it induces anaemia.

Does powder green tea offers the same benefit?

I want to start drinking green tea. Does powder green tea offers the same health benefit? And any recommendation which brand of green tea to get or where to get good green tea? thanksDoes powder green tea offers the same benefit?
Infused teas are more beneficial than dried powders... that's a further step in processing which depletes beneficial qualities.

For maximum health benefits, try white tea.

White tea comes from the same plant (Camellia sinensis) as green tea and black/red tea but it is the least processed of the three.

To make white tea, leaves are simply picked and air-dried.

Green tea is produced by picking, heating (steaming or pan firing), rolling and drying the leaves.

Because it is the least processed, white tea has an even greater antioxidant activity than green tea. It also releases the least amount of caffeine (which has been the only negative aspect of green tea), typically from five to 15 milligrams per cup. It produces a very pale infusion with a very delicate taste.

This is one good source: http://www.inpursuitoftea.com/

I recommend ';Celestial Seasonings'; which is easily available at most grocery stores and is a good trusted tea brand. They offer a good organic green tea, and vanilla apple white tea, within their line of teas.

But common tea brands such as Tetley and Lipton also offer white tea and a variety of green tea, including decaffeinated, and flavours such a pomegranate, mint, and jasmine.

Visit your local grocery store to see what's available (where you live) in the organic/health food section, as well as the coffee/tea aisle.Does powder green tea offers the same benefit?
    thank you Report Abuse

Green tea powder is like some tea bags from the home brand convenience store. It's the crap or sweepings after the good stuff has been bagged.

You are better off with the leaf variety. Green tea is just the youngest shoot of the camelia compared to the more mature leaf that is picked for normal teas. Once it has dried out it powders and gets mixed with other debris. It is generally considered lower quality to leaf.

    Your question is not clear to me; just a vivid understanding;

Milk powder is OK its not a fraud to Milk - ; Its just as good as normal milk - It can be used in almost all the application as of liquid milk.

Vending machine can make use of milk powder. this is also OK

Milk powder will not cause any harm unless its well processed at industrial level - the technology of drying milk by various method - spray dried (common) is being applied since several decades and FDA accepts it.Is milk powder is fraud to milk, fools us and tea in vending machine is just powder?

How much Kava root powder do you use for a cup of tea?

How do you prepare yours? How much Kava root powder do you use for a cup of tea?
    Hi Seaturtle.

People have traditionally prepared kava as a cold tea (an infusion made from straining a mixture of water and shredded and pounded fresh or dried root). One simple method for the preparation of kava tea involves putting two or more heaped teaspoons of kava root for each person into a clean stocking, tying a knot in the stocking and then repeatedly squeezing it in a bowl of cold water.

The tea commonly produces a slight numbing of the tongue and lips initially, followed by mildly euphoric and talkative behavior, a sense of well-being and calm, relaxation and clear thinking. The sleep that is associated with kava is particularly restful and there are no after effects the next day.

Kava can be bought at health food stores as a standardized extract.

Homemade green tea lattes, without the matcha powder?

Is there any way of doing this, or is the powder necessary?Homemade green tea lattes, without the matcha powder?
I've made tea lattes (herbal, not green, but it's the same principle) that have turned out good using tea bags.

First, make a concentrated tea by heating up the water and use either twice the tea bags or half the water (adjusting for strength as needed based on the tea you're using)

Second, after letting it steep for a while, add in your milk/soymilk. Again, it's up to your preference, but it seems to me that 1/2 concentrated tea and 1/2 soymilk suits me well. You can either add it in and heat the mixture over a stove/microwave, or add in the milk already hot.

Last, add in sugar to taste, and if you have it, some vanilla flavoring for a nice touch. =)

The recipe varies with personal taste and strength of tea, but that's the basic adaptable idea. Hope it helps!Homemade green tea lattes, without the matcha powder?
the Japanese green tea concentrate is necessary. I love the green tea fraps and lattes at Starbucks as much as the next person, but I truly don't think you can make those drinks without the matcha.

If you used a strong Sencha green tea, you still wouldn't get that matcha taste. Might still taste good, but it will be different to say the least.
you can substitute with real coffee

Fresh henna leaves mixed with boiled tea and boiled beetroot or henna powder with the same combination?

Which gives better colour and texture to your hair?I have access to fresh henna leaves and wanted to know, which is better?I have black hair so looking forward for a mahagony red tinch to hair.Other tips are also welcome to add shine to my hair.Thank you in advanceFresh henna leaves mixed with boiled tea and boiled beetroot or henna powder with the same combination?
if you do use tea, make sure it is room temperature, and remember , caffiene goes through the skin into the body.

Beets and tea won't do a thing for the color of the henna, it doesn't work on keratin/skin/hair like henna does.

You can make henna for hair with water or orange juice, just mix, let sit for a couple of hours and then use it.

I would love to know how the fresh leaves work , I suppose you would have to put them in a blender to grind them up with your liquid.Fresh henna leaves mixed with boiled tea and boiled beetroot or henna powder with the same combination?
