Is it true that a combination cinnamon powder, green tea and pure honey makes a perfect formula for diabetes ?

A friend of mine gave me this formula: boil 3 cups of water, put one tablespoon of cinnamon powder and two bags of green tea; allow to cool down. Take 1/4 glass of it 3 times a day and voila, you will have long, vigorous life plus good control of your blood sugar. How true is this?Is it true that a combination cinnamon powder, green tea and pure honey makes a perfect formula for diabetes ?
How true does it sound?

Diabeties is a condition that your body either produces no insulin (type 1 %26amp; HAS to have an outside source of insulin) or insulin resistance or too little insulin (type 2 - can need outside insulin source, medication, and always needs strict control of diet and exercize.

Green tea is thought to help, but if it does so it is most likely because people tend to drink it after a meal, which aids in digestion. Honey is pure sugar, and will only spike your BG levels.

There is no genie in a bottle. The process - and it is a process - is understanding your condition, frequent monitoring of blood glocose levels, careful diet, exercise, care of your skin %26amp; feet, an A1c test every 3 months, a yearly physical and regular heart screenings, keeping your bad cholesterol down, your blood pressure good, and more.

Go see an endocrinologist and keep up to date on medical information.

Falling back on word of mouth, old outdated ideas and generall folk remedies is not a good idea for diabetes. I know alot of the stuff actually works - like willow bark tea made from the inner bark will help mild pain, because it is a natural source of aspirin, but that is a simple remedy to a simple situation. Diabetes will kill you if you do not handle it correctly. Is it true that a combination cinnamon powder, green tea and pure honey makes a perfect formula for diabetes ?
may be but in diabetic one should not trust any formula
No.
To make sure that it really works don't forget to swing the cat by his tail during a full moon three times. This ';formula'; won't hurt you, neither will it cure anything.
The perfect formula for diabetes is:

1. Low simple-carb and sugar diet (including to avoid honey, the answers to the other question tell you why)

2. Compliance to the glucose-lowering medication and indications of the doctor.

3. Exercise.
Honey is almost pure carbohydrate and would likely undo any benefit from the green tea and cinnamon. There is not convincing evidence that green tea regulates blood sugar at all.

Cinnamon can be useful, but it is far safer to use a water extract and not boil down your own. Some cinnamon powder contains coumarin and may be toxic, so this is not safe to brew at home.

Anyone with diabetes needs to consult with their physician before trying any alternative or herbal treatments. Failure to do this could even be fatal.

This formula is not any miracle and could in fact be harmful. The extravagant claims of curing diabetes and guaranteeing long healthy life should set off all your warning bells. How true is this? Not at all and not a wise think to ingest, period.
Honey is never an appropriate food for a diabetic.

There is excellent evidence about cinnamon helping with Bg control.
If it did, people wouldn't be struggling with diabetes.
