Why do powdered drinks, such as instant iced tea...?

...waft up into the air like some kind of toxic witch's brew? Especially when one opens the can?

Yep. As everyone said, small particles. It has to be this way so the powder will dissolve. The finer the particles, the easier it will dissolve.Why do powdered drinks, such as instant iced tea...?
The small particles are so light that a little bit of wind (from opening the lid) kicks them up... .
once the product is dried into concentrate, the odor is concentrated too!
cause its powder and its gets caught in the air
only because it is a very fine powder.
